Looking for a link to download the software to programme Resound Omnia 9 hearing aids.
Will be ordering the NoahLink from eBay so need the appropriate software, preferably to use on a Apple MacBook but have access to a Windows computer if needed.
Hi there, great your giving DIY a go, be sure to do some research and read the user guides before starting, for a simple easy installation of SmartFit software I’d recommend windows.
The software is only made for PC, so you have to run PC software in an emulator if you want it to run on a Mac. But note that the NoahLink Wireless won’t work on any Mac that uses ARM, so that means you need an old Mac running an Intel processor as all of the Apple M processors are ARM based.
Thanks for the input and links.
I have dusted off my old Windows 10 pc and have a NoahLink wireless on order, due for delivery early next week.
Need to do some reading in the meantime. I assume there will be a way to download and save my existing programs from my aids in the software before I start tinkering.
Will let you know how I get on.
The way that we usually advise is that you “set up a patient” which you call something like “your name original” then you connect up the aids, save the session and disconnect. Then you set up a second patient that you might call “your name 2024” or whatever, then connect your aids, save the session, but now you can get tinkering. This gives you two ways to get back to your original settings. (The first patient and the first session on the second patient.)
If you really want belt and braces, you can now “Export patients” to a location on your PC and then copy it to a USB stick which you put safely away somewhere else.
