Background: I have 75 -80% speech understanding on either ear and 96% when used in bimodal with oticon dynamo. noise test with oticon dynamo with n7 is 70% 2 month ago…
Since i have an nucleus 7, this is just a strictly a hearing aid review. I tested the hearing aid in noise, i’m very pleased how the Omnia pick up sound. Streaming is perfect and reliable (far better than my n7)
Voices are clear with or without my N7 on my ear. My dad was having trouble following the movie with captioning while i could hear the voice effortless, i had my n7 off at the time. Sound like my dad needs hearing aid…
There is a couple of firmware bugs I believe that resound is aware of and will be fixed in firmware update…
I am also pleased how the hearing aid wrap around my ear, the battery last about 1.5 days. Receiver part can be removed with a fingernail., no special tool required…
Noise situation in bimodal so good that I can understand speech so well I get confused on who is talking to me when multiple people talking environment
Noise with just Omnia is poor and need the sound processor to fully function in noise
I have a friend who just got the Resound One to go with his Nucleus 7 processor a couple weeks ago. I told him about the Omnia aid. Would you recommend him returning the One and getting the Omnia?
I’m curious as to why you went with the Omnia 7 vs. the Omnia 9. Does the Omnia 7 basically have all the features that you need for using with your CI, making the Omnia 9 a superfluous expense? It’s interesting that Dr. Cliff recommends always going with the most premium HA that a user can afford.
My audiologist asked me to research the Resound aids, my question is about the microphone and speaker in the ear, does it really help. The reason I prefer ITE aids is because the microphones in the ear make sounds and voices sound much more natural to me.
yes, the 9 only benefit bilateral users. you are paying for feature you are not using in mono/bimodal config… CI SP and HA doesn’t communicate. I can’t use front focus or the new 360 around … these feature require bilateral config. Hell I can’t even use ultrafocus on this aid because it not bilateral config…
