Today while diagnosing a problem with my Resound Nexia 9 aids. I discovered when I put M&RIE receivers on the aids that the option for Sound Shaper was not available any longer. This is also the same when I put R&RIE’s on the Omnia and Jabra 20 aids with the same programing.
The problem with the Nexia’s is whenever I cough or the aids hit my glasses the volume goes down for about 20 seconds. this happens also when streaming for phone of TV, this does not happen with the Omnia’s or Jabra 20’s… so time to send them in to Resound again for replacement. They just came back from Resound about two months ago.
But that’s just the noise reduction kicking in, so a programming issue.
No it is not … I have that turned OFF … have reset to factory several time … not noise reduction !
The Omnia 9 and Jabra do not do it … even with noise reduction on (they all have the same firmware) .
Also impulse noise is OFF.
Okie dokie then, still sounds exactly what those features could do, so every so often you get this exact same issue? as that would be strange.
That is exactly what I have been thinking for several weeks … it started two weeks ago in just the right aid … I switched it to the left and it was still there … then a week later the other one started doing the same thing.
I have tried everything I can think of to correct it , change recivers , reset to factory and reprogam from scratch , turn off all options … still the same results .
I even took the case off of one and cleaned the microphone filter , which were not dirty … still the same.
