Resale suggestions?

My mother passed last month. She just got new hearing aids from Belltone she used them for 2 months (not every day) The are Serene 17 model. Does anyone know where we might resale these at a reduced price from what she paid, which was $7,790.

Fleabay is very popular or you might want to try Craiglist to sell them locally

I am not about to scroll through thousands of adds looking for an item … no search options!

I have been buying and selling on fleabay for nearly 30 years. If you are not lazy you can easily find or sell anything quickly.

The secret to selling, is to price it right.
Price it taking into consideration how you would feel looking to buy it.
So often people have two prices, for the same used item, depending on if they are selling it or buying, and that leads to it lingering unsold, depreciating so much, that it gets real hard to sell for any meaningful amount.
Consider that it is practically used.
Has no warranty.
Is of some uncertainty…, ;I mean it could have dropped into peanut butter as far as the buyer is concerned.
And today, brand new, programmed with the buyer’s audiogram by an online discount dealer, a purchaser could probably get that for … well first thing to do is research the absolutely cheapest price you can find from online dealer.
Reduce that online price by 30-50%. After all, you are selling it and don’t want to take it back if the person is not happy, right, cause then you would have no way of knowing it was not tampered with damaged, abused, etc. Price it that way to start. Be prepared to lower it further.
Keep in mind that if it does not sell in 6 months it would depreciate 30% due to new models etc. coming out. Unless tariff affect things, which now I probably doubt. My advice is probably lower than many here might advise. But having had loads of gear that … I either still have, or have since put out with the trash, I can tell you pricing it to sell is usually better than pricing it to make a killing!

Thank you for this information. Since these were purchased at end of January 2025, I need to check with seller if insurance, fittings/check up transfer if seller pays for transfer fee and what that cost would be. These are what I understand top of the line hearing aids. At least the cost tells me that. I may post for sale once I get this information.

Maybe play up the sympathy angle.
It was your Mom!
And it was probably you, yourself that paid for them - right.
One way or another.

They are the same as the Nixia 9 and the Jabra 20 from Costco, which retail for $1600 with 3 year warranty and service.
I just purchased a used pair online for $275 plus shipping … so adjust your priceing accordingly.

I am sorry that you paid over $7000 for them … but here they are not worth that .

I have to agree, actually no HAs are worth that, it’s just crazy, but one will put their own worth on getting ones hearing back to something called “normal”
