I have a fear of removing the tubing from the hearing aid after breaking the plastic join at the top and having to wait 2 weeks for NHS appointment to fix it.
Any suggestions for removing a bubble? I have condensation in the tube now and it looks like it could turn into a complete blockage at any time.
Do dehumidifier bottles actually work? Never seem to do anything , I bought one off Amazon a while back.
You can push a needle and thread through the bend of the tubing and then snip it so that the thread is still in there with teeny little tails. The thread acts as a wick to draw out the moisture.
If you’re breaking your hooks, you probably need to get your tubing changed a bit more proactively. If disconnecting the tubing is a consistent problem, you can ask your clinician to remove the hook filter so that you can just remove the hook along with the tube and blow the while thing dry. Those filters are less important with modern hearing aids with finer programming options.
