REM vs Unitron standard fitting

I have been comparing the HAs using the REM fitting setup by my audiologist with the fitting generated by the Unitron Truefit software. I cannot find any difference between the two except for a subjective feeling of a preference for the standard fit. I understand that REM is the gold standard but I am surprised that I cannot hear any real difference. Could this be because my hearing loss is classified as mild to moderate and I should expect to be aware of the difference with more severe loss?
Thanks

REM isn’t a fitting standard, but rather a way to help assure that the fitting matches the target of the fitting standard. The differences in the acoustics of individuals’ anatomies requires minor adjustments in most cases to allow the the fitting to match up with what is prescribed.

Think of it like a desired speed and using a speedometer to know how fast you are going. The speedometer doesn’t say how fast you are going, but can help you go as fast or slow as you need.
