Programming Issue?

I got a pair of Phonak Audeo I90-Sphere hearing aids at the end of May. They are worlds better than my 10 year old Widex Dream.
My audiologist performed the real ear measurement test and everything seemed fine until this weekend when I attended a 4th of July gathering. Everything was so loud I had to leave. I am curious if you have to enable spheric mode or if it is automatic.
When I’m browsing the MyPhonak app I see nothing with the word “spheric” in it. My batteries are never low and I have read that spheric mode will drain them fast.

I believe my audiologist thinks that when I use “Automatic” it will put them into the spheric mode. I am just curious if I’m getting what I should be out of these hearing aids.

My understanding is it can be automatically or manually,in auto it can be set in target software to switch into “sphere” mode at a certain dB so it should of kicked in if your in a very loud environment, so must be a manual process for you, a extra program?

If you are using the app, select the hearing program button on the main page (usually will show Automatic) and then select “Adjust” at the bottom of that page and the program that the hearing aid is using at the moment will appear at the top of the page. You can create a noise situation to test whether/when the aid uses the Spheric Speech in Loud Noise program. You can also ask your audiologist to adjust the noise level which activates that program. You should also ask your audiologist to create a separate Spheric program which can be selected manually.
