All we know is that code is being merged to the Android code base to support a ‘hearing aid profile’. We don’t know when it will be released, or what technology it will support. The guy who first noticed and reported on this development conjectured that it would be released in Android P but it hasn’t appeared (as far as I know) in any of the previews and no announcement has been made. All we have is stony silence from Google.
