Phonak TV transmitter

I have my phonak tv transmitter connected to the sets usb port. As I only ever leave the tv on standby the transmitter is always active and therefore it is automatically selected by MYphonak program, werher I want it or not. I know I can turn the transmitter off by it’s on/off button but would enquire if there is a way to stop it being selected by MYphonak program.

This will be of no help to you but my tv does not leave usb power active when in standby mode.
What’s the exact make and model of the tv?

Some TV makes allow you too select if you want the USB powered on/off when the TV is off.
Check in the TV settings.

Your audiologist can switch off auto connect in the aids using Target software. I had that issue and easy to fix. Just manually select in the app now or cycle through programmes using rocker switch

I have a little AC power remote control hooked up to my Phonak TV Connector (power supply).
The TV is on much of the day, but I only turn the TV Connector on when I want to listen.

The transmitter “TV Connector” should stop transmitting if there is no audio activity for more than 2 minutes (when on analog cable), or immedidately when turning off TV (when on optical cable). Check the LED of the transmitter.

And yes, your audiologist can disable the automatic selection of streaming program.

Just as a follow up, I installed this,

Zilimontt For Tuya USB for Smart Switch WIFI Controller Circuit Breaker Timer WiFi Home Appliance Circuit Breaker Support Voice Control Remote Control

It works perfectly and I can turn the TV Transmitter on/off using a Alexa command.
