I have the Phonak P90’s and wanted to improve it for TV use. I bought the “TV connector” but was ready to sell or throw it away within a day or two!!! Although the sound quality was very good the d#$$@ thing would over ride my choice of program mode for the hearing aids anytime I got within 50 ft of the tv WITHOUT asking me.

Then I found the rather obscure setting in the Target software that gave me back the control of my hearing aids. The user then has the choice WHEN to use the TV connector. !! I have now turned the TV connector back on and am able to use it when I WANT TO!

I physically unplug my connectors when I’m not using them. But I get you. I plugged the TV (vs my computer one) into the TV so it is off when the TV is off, but my wife watches a lot of TV I go upstairs not to hear. It took me about ten minutes of fighting with it to decide I had enough Christmas romance movies in my ear to go unplug it. (Yes, that was months ago. And yes, she is still watching them as of last night.)
