I have a Noahlink Wireless and the Target 7.2 software. Browsing through the features of Target, it seems that I should be able to update the firmware in my TV Connector – or at least check whether a firmware update is available – but I am not “seeing” the TV Connector (V2) at all.
It’s just struck me: the computer does not alert me when I connect or disconnect the TV Connector. It was sold on eBay as “refurbished,” and the streaming feature certainly works just fine, but perhaps the USB data interface (but not the power connection, obviously) is faulty.
For the heck of it I hooked one of our TV Connectors to a Windows 10 PC. The PC immediately recognized the device and did it’s configurations.
I then started Target. Went to firmware updates and selected the TV Connector. Target immediately recognized the TV Connector, showed its firmware number and the connectors serial number.
The manufacturer’s warranty on this thing expired in June, so it was manufactured a year or so before that. Have there been any firmware updates during that period?
I just tried a bunch of different USB cables, and when I connected the last one (the charging cable for an Amazon Fire tablet), the TV Connector showed up right away – and the firmware is up to date.
Do any of you know the approximate date of the most recent TV CONNECTOR firmware update? I purchased mine on August 19, 2019 when I purchased my phonak M90r aids.
