Phonak TV Connector causes hearing aids to chime frequently

I have been having chimes every time l change the tv channel. I am using the tv connector with my Paradise Naida P70 UP aids. I found a solution to stop the chimes.l went to Target and turned off volume and program change. I rarely use the phone to make calls. I don’t get any chimes while changing programs. I can tell the difference between programs. Only the general chimes can’t be turned off. I don’t want to pay 30 dollars a month for unlimited captioned calls. I leave the tv connector on and it’s connected to a high quality power surge protected outlet. I hear no chimes when the tv is on or off.

With my Sony TV, if I connect to the HA with Bluetooth, it turns off the speakers. I like to have the speakers stay on (especially if my spouse is also watching), so directly connecting the HAs with the TV with Bluetooth doesn’t work for me

Since the thread has been revived…the USB port can be tested for power when the tv is off by plugging in a phone charger cable attached to the phone to see if the phone notices power.

Also, the problem with the bluetooth option is that there would be lip-sync issues.
