Phonak Target Phone Settings

The attached screenshot shows the device settings when using a phone. The setting for hearing aid microphone volume defaults to -6db. Does anyone know what is the effect of changing this?
Does it affect environmental noise?
Does it affect the loudness that the caller hears my voice?

Yep that’s it, did you test it?

Called Attenuation.

You have the option on other programs as well to a max of -10 dB.

So if I attenuate the mic’s down to -10db will my caller hear my voice at a lower volume (loudness)?

One would think so if your using the hands free option, I’m not a great believer in this regard, too much background noise is picked up especially if your in a mall or bar.

@Gilbert

Calling won’t go to -10dB as for Phone Call option, it’s a max of -6dB.

Being a self programmer, you can try these features and revert back if needed within a couple of hours or less.

I’ve left that one as it is as it may adversly affect what the caller hears, and no caller has complained.

I did, however, change another setting to “Adaptive Bandwidth”
