Phonak Target error message

I am playing with the training section of Target 8 while I await the delivery of another set of L90’s. Periodically I get the following error message: “Value can not be null Parameter name element”. Anybody know what this means? Do I need to reinstall the software? Thanks

Not sure about where (which part of Target) you are getting this error? Did you select a client first? Here’s a clip from DIY School (Fitting Instructions Phonak Target);

Tip: Phonak Target has a Pulldown Selector to the right of “New Session”. You can pull it down and select “New Training Session”. These simulations might help you to get a feel for how the software works, or you can test some questions you may have about the software;

Thanks. This time I was in the Global Tuning page. I have got the error at other places but I didn’t note where at the time.

Oh, maybe it means that you cannot simulate everything?? Have you selected specific hearing aid models?

Yes, Selected the L90 RL R&L. Maybe this only happens in the simulation. I didn’t realize that if you checked connect in the training mode you would get a complete simulation. I was changing Sound Recover off and on and changing the prescriptive formulas. The training function of this software is really complete.

Can you show a screenshot of it next time, I haven’t seen that one before, yes why not just do a clean install and see if it goes away.

Ok I will do that. It gives you the option of continuing but says that the software is unstable and you should not save your adjustments.

Don’t fret about that because you cannot save in a training session anyway.

I understand that, but I am concerned that there could be a problem when I have real aids attached.

I doubt it (and I am just guessing about this next part ->); But when/if the Target software gets too deep into the fantasy of simulating each and every detail of a complex fitting, then some of the details get omitted (because it’s just a simulation) and therefore some parts of the software complain about the missing bits.

ETA: If Phonak Target 8.0.3 fitting software was unstable you would be able to hear gazillions of Audiologists howling about it. :wink:

Yes unless something happened when I installed the program on my laptop. Crossing my fingers, it hasn’t happened today.
