I am trialling the new Phonak Sphere aids and so far can find little improvement over the Audeo aids I already own. Both aids are the 90, top of the range models and both are fitted with the C-shell custom earpieces. My audiolgist is well qualified and is employed by an organisation that is owned by Sonova, so there should be no shortage of expertise. Has anyone had a similar experience. Any suggestions? Thanks
The only major improvement over the previous generation (Lumity) is the Spheric Speech in Noise program which activates automatically in noisy environments (over 70dB of noise by default) where speech is detected. By all accounts this is a significant improvement in performance in noise, particularly if using moulds. Otherwise there is only marginal improvement. Ill assume REMs were performed by your very experienced aud. If not, that is also important in maximising performance.
