Just figured out that TV streaming volume and hearing aid volumn are separate. My wife is very loud and every time i turned her down, while watching TV, both would turn down where i couldn’t hear TV . Soooo i turned them down the aids while listening to her. Then went to TV steamer box and turned it up to hear TV. Awesome
Yes- you need a separate volume control for what comes out of the TV, for output varies enormously depending on what you watch. I find the volume controls on the Phonak streamer very clumsy, so I added an extra, smooth rotating knob for this, which sits next to my TV chair.
I have had Costco-sold Resound and now the latest Jabra HA’s with two TV Streamer-2’s. The streamers have controls for gross volume and lip sync for setup on the TV end of the tv sound devices I’ve had for at least 10 years. The latest Jabra phone app software for the aids pops up a screen when selecting one of the streamers that has two or four sliders that allow L to R adjustment individually, and another pair for adjusting surrounding sound. Normal mode for both sliders is ganged L and R. I prefer loud TV sound in my ears, but the other adjustment means my wife doesn’t have to shout.
