Phonak settings

My hearing problem is mainly in spaces with poor accoustics and in noisy environments.

I’ve noticed that at lower volume settings it sounds much clearer with much less reverb.

Can this quality also be achieved at higher volume by changing settings? The settings with the phone app have hardly any effect. But my new hearing care professional, who is not used to working with Phonak, says it can’t get any better.

Is that right? Or do have to find another professional?

You’ve come to the right place. There are people here who really care, including real professionals.
I’ve had issues the last 5 years. My latest wonderful help has come from a hearing instrument specialist who provided two reports.

  • Target User Report
  • Target Pro Report.

He corrected the horrible setup I had from my dispensing audi. That man had worked a miracle getting me new hearing aids from workman’s compensation before I was entitled. He was a gentleman; however, he didn’t know how to set them up.

Target is the setup program for my Phonak Audeo Paradise P90R’s

There are many people here who setup their own hearing aids.

Some audiologists and hearing instrument specialists provide wonderful service to the hearing aid users they provide equipment to. Others don’t.

I use the Phonak Paradise. I did not get a copy of the audiugram when he Installed my settings…
I intend to see him shortly but am interested to know if volume increase reduces the quality in a poor accoustic room.
