Phonak Roger Question

Can anyone tell me the difference between a “regular” MLxi receiver and a Roger X receiver which looks exactly the same.

I have not knowingly came across a MLxi receiver @Gilbert, I have 6 Roger X receivers though, 2 x type 03, 4 x type 02, a quick Google produced these below, I don’t know if they are any use though to you, information wise… Cheers Kev

Analog signal and digital signal.

Sound is so much better with Roger. None of it sounding like a FM radio. MLXi is FM signal.

So, although they both receive FM, they are not interchangeable.

Would either of them be any use to receive FM hearing assistance in a theatre?

Roger is not FM.

Roger works on same ghz as Bluetooth.

MLXi is FM but you need a receiver with the correct channel as the theatre.

When I was at school, I was on H02. H is used in the UK. USA and other countries use other channels that isn’t H.

It was illegal for me to go to the USA and use the FM system with H02 as the H channel could be police channel in the USA.

Roger can be used in any country without any issues.

@Zebras Many thanks for the clarification. I have an Oticon MLxi receiver which can scan for nearby broadcasts. I will try this in the theatre which broadcasts FM.
