I have my Roger pen docking station connected to the TV and here lately when I have the Pen in the docking station I get a lot of static. Did I say static I’m not too sure what to call it. The only thing I can here with the roger pen connected to the docking station and turn on is a lot of static. I have tried a reset no luck. Anyone experience this problem or have an idea what might be the problem. It was working good until I took it out to use it in other situations like restaurant or family environment. Then it no longer worker with the TV.
thanks
I had the same issue and it turned out to be the charger connected to docking station.
I can use mine out and about fine but when I connect it to the docking station with charger and connection to TV, there was loads of static. I changed the cable.
Thanks for the quick response. Which cable did you change?
The charger as already mentioned.
My docking station is the charger am I wrong? I think you are referring to the big plug that plugs into the wall outlet.
My bad I will see if I can find another cable to see if fixes the static.
thanks
Unplug it and keep the Pen in the docking station attached to your TV and see if the static goes. That’ll tell you if it is the cable is your issue.
Thanks I will do that. I tried several different cables with the same results even tried a different wall outlet.
Next thing to do is look at the audio cable that attaches it to the TV.
I’ve just had to replace my audio cable that is attached to my Phonak TV Link II.
It was the audio cable not plugged in good. kind of flimsy I thought. What I don’t understand is that the Roger pen keeps transmitting even thought the audio device was turned off and bluetooth was turned off. I had to manually turn the Roger Pen off in order to stop it from transmitting. I even tried switching programs in the Phonak app and it kept switching back to the Roger Direct program. Has this been your experienced? Does the Roger Pen have to be switched off manually every time? thanks
When I place my Roger Pen into the docking station, I don’t need to turn it on. It seems to work without turning it on. When I take it out of the docking station, it doesn’t work until I turn it on.
I keep getting the transmitting signals from the Pen that it transmitting. I don’t care if it stays on in the docking station. But to me the jingles is telling me it is transmitting and they don’t stop until I manually turn the Pen off. Okay I turned on the tv and the pen automatically turned on the BT and turned off the tv and went about thirty feet from the pen the signal came on once and then quit all is good thanks for your help. I think the jingles is that the bt is out of distance from the pen.
It won’t stop until you turn the Pen off. Having the Pen on, will connect with your Aids.
