I just heard about Roger ON and did a little research. I already have a PartnerMic which is great 1:1 but in background noise ( restaurants/clubs) is basically useless…and much more importantly in groups is also useless ( say 2-3 people at a coffeeshop). I knw it is not designed to be useful in those situations.
So Roger ON promises to work in noise and in groups. That sounds awesome and quite unbelieveable for me! But if it works, It would really change something for me…
I talked with my audi and they said that I need to send the Paradise back to add something called Roger X to it and pair the Roger On. This would essentially double what I paid for the aid itself.
If the promises are true…I mean, it might be actually worth it.
But I am reluctant cause it’s such a huge investment and I don’t really believe the promises.
Any insight?

I think you are being duped @sickbay…. You don’t need Roger X installed, you can get Roger On “In” or Roger Select “In”, the “In” part means the Licenses come pre-installed, so there is no need to send off and aids! Do not let this A.uD fleece you, you can buy the Roger On In, 2nd hand on eBay or indeed the Roger Select In, for around 700 USD…… In any case, all that is required for the plain “Roger On” from your A.uD is a Roger X installer, and 1 x Roger X Receiver, the Roger X installer, as you have only 1 ear that functions whilst aided, this a tiny piece of equipment (I have this) it’s only function is to transfer the licenses onto the Marvel or Paradise hearing aids, all A.uD’s whom work with Phonak aids should have this Roger Installer as part of their equipment, why they would have to send the aids off, beggar’s belief? I have several Roger devices, or Assistive Listening Devices (ALD) I think, I prefer the Roger Select over the Roger On, but that’s just a personal preference, be aware though, in most instances you will get approximately 60% better hearing with an ALD, this will be greatly depreciated, in very loud background noise!
