It seems that phonak has released a new version of the receiver 5.0 but I only see it in European dealers and on ebay that some are offering version 5.0 for sale.
Visually, there are changes because the top where the dome goes is slightly curved.
I heard the news on a German forum where one of the forum members noticed that a new receiver had appeared. He says that the new receiver now also supports the cerustop filter.
The receiver is 3-pin, and supports versions of hearing aids such as Audeo Marvel, Paradise and Lumity
Here are two links to European retailers that sell them
The link says text
This 5.0 speaker is identical to the 4.0 speaker, but you can use a Cerustop filter with it. There were many complaints about Phonak’s Cerushield panel, so they developed the 5.0 speaker.
This site announced that some time ago.
The little tiny cerushield won’t work with the sports lock that I’ve used for years. It gets in the way. It prevents the cerushield from joining the receiver 4.0. I’m concerned I’ll lose my hearing aids.
The cerushield has less capacity. I have to change them much more often than the old one.
And I often found the little tiny cerushield was crooked in the receiver when I took it off to change the wax guard.
Finally the cerushield would get crushed in and I’d have to dig it out. I’ve used my swiss army knife.
I used to use the receiver without the waxguard because it would be better.
My hearing instrument specialist called Phonak and asked if the 5.0 Receiver was available in Canada.
They said they knew nothing about the new Receiver. They said they were not available in Canada.
He had given his own name and the name of his business.
I’m desperate for these new Receivers for my Phonak Audeo Paradise P90R’s. My Power receivers are only about a month old. One will not retain the miniscule little waxguard.
These little rinky dink wax guards. Will the hearing aids still work if they aren’t aligned centred in the bore of the receiver, but leaning over hard?
I swear even though Im being careful, when I take the dome off 1/3 of the time the gosh darn wax guard is lying on its side. And every time I change them, I hear better. I change my wax guards about every 4 days. And I don’t produce much wax.
I recently had an ear infection, and I had to drip my ear with different drops 4 times a day. I have two pairs of hearing aids and 3 receivers were destroyed. they don’t work anymore. I changed the cerushield several times, but somehow it got inside and damaged it. Maybe cerustop would protect it better? I had to buy new receivers and asked for a low price because I don’t want to overpay.

As I read back this older topic about the ceru-filters from Phonak. Your todays question seems for me unclear.
Phonak used to have their wax-guard’s for their Receivers.
The old one is the Cerustop, after that they came with the Cerushield for the SDS4.0 Receivers. This probably wasn’t a success. So then they got back to their Cerustops on the newer SDS5.0 Receivers. And continued untill now with the Cerustop on their SDS6.0 Receivers.
As far as I know there is no size for these wax guards, the Cerustop, only exists in just one size. So for your SDS5.0 and your SDS6.0 you can use the same package. On my picture you see the Cerustop from 2022 and 2024 with identical partnumbers.
Because on some shopping sites it says 1.4 mm in mm, somewhere it says 2 or 3 mm. It’s confusing when some retailers write that it’s for ITC or ITE and it doesn’t say anything on the site for RIC.
If they say Starkey, Signia, etc., are they the same as Phonak?
