Phonak Paradise cShell Titanium Mould Price from Specsavers (UK)

Hi all,

I’m new to the forum and have found loads of information that’s been really useful to me. I just wanted to post about the Phonak Titanium C Shells, I saw a lot of people were asking about the price of them so here is what I paid in the UK.

I purchased a pair of Phonak Paradise P90’s from Spec Savers and they charge me £96+VAT for each side which is very expensive but quality is pretty good and they fit far better than the acrylic versions as the walls are very thin meaning the moulds are much smaller.

How do they fit far better by being much smaller? Do you mean that being smaller allows you to insert the earmold deeper into the ear canal? What diameter of vent you have?

Do the benefits of titanium earmolds come only from better retention and durability, or do they also give you better sound quality?

This was from 3 years ago. Countless Titanium C-Shells have fallen apart due to poor build adhesion of the faceplate since then.

I’m guessing the price has gone up since then though.

What is the faceplate? Is it the part of the cShell from whose surface the wire comes out, as below?

Yes, the insert did have issues, both in this form and the CIC builds.
