Phonak pairing with Android Bluetooth

My wife has recently been given a pair of hearing aids at our local hospital Audiology clinic. The clinician paired them to her phone but wasted no time in explaining the process to her . We found the Phonac app on her phone and can reconnect each time she switches them on (usually each morning ) but we have to do this every day.

Just to clarify, I accidentally posted this before I had completed my explanation of the problem.
The instructions say that (like most bluetooth paired devices) they should then connect automatically each time they are switched on but so far this has not happened .
Are we missing something or are the hearing aids faulty?
Any help will be much appreciated. TIA

The aids should reconnect to the app automatically. Sometimes it takes a little while. Under the devices icon at the bottom of the app, select Connection Management and then engage the Stay connected button to see if that makes a difference.

Sometimes my HAs are very busy switching to other sources (an iPad and the TV-streamer in my case) and they “forget” to reconnect to my Android phone again. So, yes, then you sometimes need to tap your phone’s Bluetooth icon and order it to reconnect to your Phonaks. But not too often.

Hi guys and thankyou both for prompt replies
I did find the stayconnected button after re installing “myphonak” but the app is not intuitive and seems to have a conflict with the built in android function so I will have another look tomorrow
