Phonak Marvel receiver locking pin has popped out of my aid

I had to replace the receiver on my left hand aid this week as the wire suddenly failed flush with the pin socket. I’ve done this before without issue but this time could not easily get the old socket out of the aid body. I used the pin tool to gently nudge it out from the side pin hole and to my horror the locking pin also came out. I can’t figure out how to get it back into the aid body without damaging it. Any suggestions welcome on how to do this. I’ve contacted my audiologist for help but anticipate I may need to go a few days before I can get into the clinic.

Probably just need to take the housing apart and fit it back that way.

Any pictures to show here?
As Tenkan seems to know what happened …. me (as an amateur) it seems not clear.
But like to learn a bit also please.
Thanks in advance @DrBobLow

couple of photos of the pin here - one square on the graph paper is 2mm on a side (just over 1/16")

We typically consider this to be a manufacturer repair.

As the forum specialists Tenkan and Neville say, I would also ask my HCP for service.
Think I saw where this belongs in my Phonak’s M90. Wouldn’t try to repair this myself…

It’s actually very easy, just remove the pins holding the housing and fit back in, of course you do need to take care, but I’ve discussed how it’s done a few times on the forum, but best just watch the video here.

Oh wow, thanks @tenkan so it’s that easy….
The only time I saw this guy tearing apart a Phonak was on this video 3 years ago. https://youtu.be/ToNLr8WWLJY?si=PEl8Fkz1RynOpWNM
So with that in mind my first thought was no way possible to do it with less damage for a non- profi.

Yes definitely have to be careful with what your doing, take your time and a steady hand gives the rewards.
But in all honesty if you have a back up set to use, then why not send it off, a small charge if out of warranty, save the stress if your not 100% confident.
