I have mild hearing loss in both ears, and started a trial of the phonak lyric hearing aids about 24 hours ago.
At the fitting, they seemed very comfortable. Later, the right ear started aching, and I go to headache. Today, I’m definitely aware of them both. The audiologist out in the extra large size. I’ve read that people essentially forget that they’re there. Is this something that happens after a few days, weeks?
I was hoping that they would reduce my tinnitus significantly, but so far I’ve noticed only a slight reduction. Question for other users, how much did it help your tinnitus, and when?
On the plus side, there are a couple of tv programs where I always needed subtitles, but now I can understand the spoken word!
