This is likely the issue. Simple 2 second act to do in the App instead of waiting a long time for an appointment.
YEP! You’re right! (and 20 more characters to post that!)
The only time this has ever happened to me, and it happened 6/7 times with both Paradise Life and Lumity Life, was when the charger was jolted or knocked slightly during the night.
This small tap made the HAs wake up and they would either be dead or wailing by the morning.
I simply moved them out of harms way and it never happened again.
There’s a topic on updating the firmware if you are interested:

That’s an excellent link to the firmware update thread here! Oddly, my aids would auto-ON while inside the induction charger on several occasions. These chargers aren’t located in a place where they’d be jiggled or jostled, so I was utterly perplexed what was waking up the aids while INSIDE the charger where they are supposed to be silently re-charging.
I was in to see my audi today and she applied the firmware update to both of my Lumity Life charging bases. Then she turned the auto-ON feature OFF. So … unless there are “body snatchers” from outter space, these aids are not going to utter a peep while seated in the charging base.
Now, when I take them out in the morning, I’ll simply power them ON manually myself. Gives me a bit more time to get them inserted into my swollen ear canals before they start screeching feedback… which then wakes up hubs!
Further to my visit this morning to the audi … after she updated the Lumity Life charging bases, she saw that the aids, themselves, needed a firmware update, so that was also done.
I couldn’t help but to wonder (for the 10,000th) time WHY Phonak isn’t more proactive in letting audis and users know that their aids are due for firmware updates. It’s ridiculously passive on their part to never put out an alert. Updates typically improve stability or address issues many users are having, so to not let us know the update is needed is silly.
And P.S. I asked my audi for the most recent audiogram I’d had done a year ago. I’m going to update my Audiogram here now. Stay tuned.
