I noticed something weird today that my HA swiyto Speech in Car when I was sitting at my desk in office. There might be some noises from air conditioning, but overall it’s quiet and I was not moving. Is the autosense set up wrong?
My P90’s sometimes switch to Speech in Car when I’m out walking. At first I thought I must be walking REALLY FAST, but also noticed it happened when someone was walking next to me and speaking.
Actually detected it when I realized I almost missed a dog rapidly approaching me from my left and I hadn’t heard a sound.
Let us know if you discover why this happened, because I haven’t got a clue.
Good Luck
David
I asked him almost every visit why I couldn’t hear. I said there’s something simple we are missing. The reports would have shown.
Every visit he would pair my hearing aids to my phone. He would call Phonak for instructions. Then next time I would use myPhonak APP it didn’t work. I’d have to pair them again. I dreaded visits. Lots of visits. He was a gentleman. I wish him well.
I totally understand and can feel your frustration. A good Audi is not easy to find, just like winning lottery for people with hearing loss.
Thanks!
My first Audi was amazing.
Best of care!
She ensured I qualified for workman’s compensation. It’s a blessing. However they don’t supply the best of hearing aids. And they reduce earnings for Audis. I’ve had 3 pairs of Phonaks. The last two have been a nightmare

Thanks for your kind message
The very reason I have Autosense either disabled, or manually selectable. It makes silly choices too often. I have Music & Speech in noise manually selectable i M70s and P30s, and Music and Comfort in Echo in P90s

One reason I couldn’t get on with AutoSense.
I’ve had a look and both reports for all 3 sets.
User Report
Excellent, but brief report with pictures and explanations of the current settings and what each button does. This is good because it relates to the actual setup, not a general thing. For example, I learnt something I didn’t know. I have all aids set to manual plus beep switching. When they detect eith a TV Connector or a Roger Mic, I hear a 2 tone beep. I learned that if I immediately do a short button press, it will connect immediately. I’d previously done long presses to scroll through the programmes.
Professional Report
I’ve printed this out, 5-6 pages each.
The Audiograms are there, along with MPO & Gain graphs for all settings (this includes even those I don’t currently have selected. The fitting levels are also there (WhistleBlock, Microphone Mode-Beamforming etc). Fitting Configuration is next (tubes, molds, receivers etc). Finally Device options are there, like the user report.
The reports can be in graphical, or text forms, or both
It’s all helpful, and in my case it highlights the importance of doing separate hearing tests for each pair, as they’re all pretty different.
Thanks for the heads up Dave
Peter
It’s my pleasure. If dispensing Audi had given those to me I could have helped him more. He would have setup my hearing aids well They were never setup right at all by him
Fatal Flaw. This stuff should never happen
DaveL
Hope Phonak is following. You make good hearing aids ONLY WHEN SETUP RIGHT. Is there some way the setup person can confirm he has set up the Paradise P90s correctly?
Should he have started with a Target quick fit?
I found out in Target Autosense fine turning, Audi is able to adjust Program Transition Speed. I think the Autosense is too sensitive.
