It depends on your hearing loss as to whether you will get custom molds or not. I have a couple friends who get their HA’s from the VA and get open fit aids and I have a couple other friends who also get their HA’s from the VA and they have custom molds, it all depends on the degree of the hearing loss in the low frequencies. I myself have custom molds and would not use an open fit HA. I feel that once you try a custom mold you won’t go back to an open fit.
