I’m due to start a new job in tech support using phone software on pc
I have Phonak hearing aids and thought the compilot II would be a good solution for when at home as I can stream phone call audio from pc and use either internal mic on Compilot II or use lapel mic
However when I go back into the office, I’m not sure if using the internal Compilot II mic will be effective in a busy office and will pick up surrounding noise so wanted to use a lapel mic, but wanted to know if I plug the compilot II into the laptop with audio cable as a more reliable method than bluetooth and to save battery, if I got a splitter cable, could I use a plug in lapel mic at the same time or is it case of one or the other
I’m not tech savvy.
However, I had Phonak hearing aids with a Compilot II and a lapel mike.
The Compilot II had excellent battery life. The Compilot I I had with my first Phonak HA’s use to disconnect from the neck antenna regularly. I probably had 8 or so neck antennas in the life of that Compilot.
I much preferred tucking the Compilot or Compilot II away and using the lapel mike.
I sometimes work-at-heights. My phone interface must be hands free.
I use the Com Pilot II with the lapel mic every day for several hours. I wouldn’t worry about battery life or Bluetooth issues. What works best for me is to sync the Com Pilot with my cellphone and use that for audio whether using the app for whatever soft phone application you use.
I bought the compilot II which plugs into my laptop via audio cable and sound is routed to my HA’s and bought a seperate usb lapel mic which does the job just nicely
