Phonak Charger feedback

I have a brand new Phonak Charger, but if it loses power the hearing aids feedback.
When powered, it works correctly and charges the hearing aid.
But unplug the USB power ans in a few seconds the hearing aids feedback.
Open the lid and the feedback stops.
Charger info:
Model: Phonak Charger Ease

This is a design flaw.
The hearing aids turn on when they are in the charger, but not charging.
They should stay OFF if they are in the charger, even when it’s not charging.
What model of Phonak hearing aids are you using?

Does anyone know of a similar issue with another brand?

You can change the settings in the app so that they don’t automatically turn on when “removed from the charger,” which translates to turning on whenever there’s an interruption of power to the charger. It’s an annoying “feature.”

Hi. Yes, there’s an option in the myPhonak App for turning this feature off. I have it turned off, so the HA’s don’t automatically turn on when the charger is turned off. Only hassle is that you’ll have to turn the aids on (& off) manually every time.

The hearing aids are not connected to the myPhonak app.

Your audiologist can also change that setting in Target. Or you can do that yourself if you have the right equipment and know-how. I don’t think there’s any other way of solving this problem.
