As part of the lot of untested devices I got, it also came with a Phonak Charger Case Go. It does hold a charge and seems to work fine and has all the original packaging, and doesn’t seem to be used at all. Looking at the documentation online, it seems that it isn’t compatible with my Audeo P50-R as it only lists the P-RL, and they are very loose in the case. Is it compatible, or are there any inserts needed to make them work with my current ones?
I am also willing to sell it to a user on the forum. I am in Alberta Canada, but I have never shipped anything before, so I would also need to learn how to do that. How much would one of these sell for if I can’t find a way to make them work with my hearing aids?
Your P50-R uses a charger with contact points. The P-RL (Life model) uses inductive charging. The chargers are not interchangeable. You can try listing it in the classified section of this forum.
Thanks for the response. I wonder if I can make custom inserts that could convert the inductive to the contact points. Not sure if it is possible or worth doing, but it could be cool.
I have a backup Charger Case Combi, but I’ve found that my hearing aids die about halfway through my day. It would be cool to just put them in the charger and have them charge without needing an outlet. I did find a good deal on a mini charger case so I will be carrying that around with me once I receive it. Is it possible to have my batteries in the hearing aids replaced by my provider, and how much should I expect it to cost? I’m doing an internship right now and get paid at the end of it, so I want to know if I could afford the replacement myself.
Your provider can have the batteries replaced by Phonak. I assume they are out of warranty so you probably need to check with your provider for the price. Maybe someone here who has had them replaced can provide some better information, but I am assuming somewhere in the $150 to $200 per hearing aid range.
