Hi,
My oldest hearing aid of 8 years is a Bolero and I’ve been wearing it recently and compared to my Paradise is doing some things a lot better. I know that’s weird to say considering how far apar in tech they are but it’s a lot louder which i enjoy, and is doing better in loud environments like clubs.
So now I’m thinking that for my next one I’d like to get the latest Bolero maybe it just suits me better?
My audi says they don’t carry Bolero anymore although they are a Phonak representative. I see on their site that a Marvel Bolero exists, but no Lumity.
My question is: anyone knows if a lumity version is in the works or can recommend other options that are like Bolero?
I’m just going from what I can see from Phonak’s website, but it looks like they’ve stopped refreshing the Bolero line as it’s latest technology is Marvel. If you wanted a BTE style, as opposed to RIC, Naida P- PR would be the most current tech as it is a Paradise model. I don’t know of any reason why an Audeo Lumity with powerful receivers and custom molds couldn’t be as loud as your Boleros.
If my abbreviations are confusing, BTE is Behind the Ear (receiver is in the hearing aid and sound is transmitted through a tube to the custom mold) RIC is Receiver in Canal (receiver is in the ear connected to hearing aid by wire)
Thank you,
I’ll speak with the audi about this…however I’m not sure if being louder is what make bolero more pleasant or where the receivers re placed.
I am lookin to get P/SP receivers for my Paradise and custom molds and see what we come up with! Exciting
