Phonak Audeo M90-R indicator light is solid red

It stayed hot only a few minutes, now it’s back to a normal temperature.

I tried all advices here including yours Raudrive. When in press 15 sec up then 15 sec down, nothing happens. The red light appears only when I put it in the charger.

Good to know: while in charger, both are recognized on Phonak App, my left saying 99% and my right 100%.

When I remove them from the charger, only the right one is recognized on Phonak App.

It’s weird, I’ll let my left hearing aid out of the charger for this night and try again tomorrow.

I suddenly developed this problem overnight. HA was working and got blinking green light from both when I put them in the charger last night. This morning, left one solid green and working. Right one solid red, goes dark when removed from charger and totally dead. I tried the various tricks above and a different charger… same thing. Solid red when it goes in the charger, all off when removed. Left HA working fine. If I hold down power button when I put it in the charger it goes solid green as long as I hold the button, but turns red immediately when I let go. Tried all the various button combinations suggested here without effect. I live on a remote island, so have to send it in if it has to be repaired. Any other ideas before I throw in the towel?

Did you try holding the volume down button long enough to turn it OFF? And then turn it back ON again by putting it in the charger?

it should be a defective battery as me. I sent mine to repair, i’m waiting.

Hi all. Thank you all very much for your comments but nothing seemed to work. So the hearing aid has been returned to Phonak and I am hoping it will be fixed or a replacement made. Thank you all once again for your comments and help.

Thank you all once again for all the help you gave me. As I explained in my previous email I had to send the hearing aid back to Phonak as nothing seemed to work. I am pleased to say that I now have a replacement hearing aid and they are both working fine at the moment. Thank you for all the help on the forum. Good luck to every one.

Did you get an answer as to why the aids failed?

Hoping this isn’t a problem for us rechargeable hearing aid owners.
My aids were bought used off eBay and don’t have the very nice warranty most have but the price was right. I prefer the battery aids for this very reason not to mention hearing aid dryer convenience.

No unfortunately I did not any feed back at all as why the hearing aid failed. My audiologist told me the hearing aid was returned repaired/replaced without any comment which was disappointing. Yes it could be a problem for those not under warranty. I hope not. Good luck.

Thanks, TraderGary. Yes, I have run through every permutation and combination mentioned and held buttons down for up to a minute. I think the battery is the issue. So, I think I’m stuck with using my previous model Phonak until I can get this one sent and returned. The old ones are actually pretty good, but not as good as the new ones.

Having the exact same issue with my m60-r

All the reboot flow not fixing the issue. When put it back to the charging box, the light went green for 0.5second and then was a constant red.

A repairing Center is close to my home and I headed to the place today, they said the motherboard is broken and will help me fix it. They told me that I can get it back soon and ask me wait in the centre and I am now sitting there, hope they could fix my m60-r.

I got it back btw, they said the motherboard is broken, and can tell the motherboard itself is dirty so they think it is related to sweat or water issue, but I always keep my m-60r clean and dry actually.

Anyway, other-than the receiver and the skin, basically they replace everything else in the device, fortunately I have my warranty valid, otherwise I cannot imagine how much it would cost.
