I’ve just browsed Phonak website and found out they still offer Astro programmable analogue hearing aid in Canada. Is that true? What a great news since finally one hearing aid manufacturer knows someone in the earth needs cheap, good, simple analog programmable hearing aids. Anyone can confirm that?
To the best of my knowledge, this is not true. The Astro was discontinued several years ago.

Try Hearing Help Express on the internet if you are looking for a simple analog aid. They have a model called the HB-23 for about 300 each. I found them quite effective until my hearing deteriorated further. You would have to be comfortable with mail order. They do have a full refund policy and require a doctor visit before a sale.
