If you haven’t shut off your notifications, yes. It not only clicks but isolates you from the room. Very annoying if you are in a conversation or at a dinner table. I allow very few notifications to come in audibly.

Otherwise it is a useful indicator that a status change has occurred. Doesn’t bother be in the least.

I my experience it can be annoying in some situations like when it does it during a conversation. But I worked with my audiologist and she was able to minimize my ability to hear it. Hopefully this helps.
