Phillips Hearing aids in the U.S. is exclusive Costco

Hello Donald,

Thank you for reaching out to the Philips Consumer Care team and I apologize for the delay in response. I am sorry to hear that you are having difficulties with your Right hearing aid. My recommendation would be to speak to the person you purchased the hearing aid from as they should be able to help you with the repair needed. At this time, Costco is the exclusive authorized reseller of the Philips hearing aids in the US at this time.

If you have further questions or concerns regarding technical connectivity issues, please contact the Consumer Care Team 800-327-4779, who are available to assist Monday through Friday 8:30am to 8pm ET and Saturday 11am-3pm ET.

With kind regards

If your warranty is over or you purchase used Phillips Hearing Aidd and one of your HA rechargeable batteries die - there is no location to get the battery replaced!

I have a KS 9.0 in my right ear and a Phillips Rechargeable in my left ear (dog aid the left ear KS 9.0 and now the battery died in the Phillips for the right ear

I’m picking up a pair of 9040s at Costco on Dec. 11. In my research I’ve noticed a couple of things:
(1) Unlike major brands that are provided by a variety of outlets including independent practices, mundane supplies such as domes and wax protectors are not available on Amazon etc. as Philips-branded products. But…
(2) These supplies are identical to the Oticon-branded products.

I surmise that it’s possible that an Oticon battery will work. Getting the replacement done, however, seems likely to be a hassle.

Thanks- My wife has Oticon soI will take the HA to her Audiologist and hope!

I’m confused by this. Won’t Costco support the 9040s? Because of my insurance, I get new aids every 3 years. Before I had insurance, though, my Kirkland KS?? from 2010, was rebuilt by Costco in late 2014. I took them in with 4 programs working intermittently. I got them back working better than ever with 5 programs. IOW, I’m pretty sure I got new aids for $270 or $340 (I’ve forgotten the cost, but there was a ‘70’ in there, I’m sure.)

Has Costco stopped taking responsibility for their aids sooner than 5-6 years?

Costco’s warranty is three years. After three years the charge is $135.00 per hearing aid for repair or battery replacement. After five years the manufacturers do not accept aids from Costco for repair or battery replacement.
Costco will continue to supply domes and wax guards and will retest hearing every two years for as long as you own your hearing aids.

@edkoc I thank you so much. i was not able to get that info - rechargeables (philips HAs are throwaway) after 5 years). Also never buy used Philips HAs because Costco will not service them because you didn’t buy them at Costco. the U.S. philips office does not accept repairs from anyone except Costco; and Costco Santa Clarita CA will not send hearing aids to the factory if they are out of warranty

I would say 5 years is the maximum support one can expect from most hearing aid manufactures.

The good news is that Costco sells their hearing aids at about a quarter of the price that independents sell hearing aids.
