Hey folks,
Hope you’re all doing well. It’s been about 5 years now and I believe I’m due for an upgrade after sending in my KS9’s yet again to be serviced due to a failing microphone.
When I went to Costco, I had my eyes on the Philips HearLink 9050’s for quite some time, and I believe they would best suit my needs in terms of speech in noise. However I remain ambivalent about making the switch due to having been on Phonak hearing aids since I was 9 years old.
What I’m looking for is to hear more about these hearing aids from those who have them. What do you like or dislike about them? What boxes do they tick for you? How is the battery life if you’re just using them as hearing aids and not making phone calls or listening to music on them? How is speech in noise?
The speech in noise is probably one of my concerns. I’m not going to say that AI will solve every single situation, and I understand that everyone has different levels of hearing loss, but what I’d like to know is how do you perceive the AI sound processing? Is it a positive experience? A negative experience?
I’d really like to pick your brain on the reviews of the HearLink 9050 in this topic so I can go back and forth between which brand I will settle on. For me, it’s one thing to read a brochure, and it’s another thing for me to go into the store and purchase hearing aids… However, I don’t have the funding for them right this very moment, so I’m taking this time to get a little more information from the community.
Thank you, and have a wonderful morning/afternoon/evening/night!
