Both aids show in the app? Both aids show as active in settings?
yes - the app works fine
I have found that the wax filters on the 9050’s get clogged very easily. Several times I have had the same issue and changed the wax filter and all was well again.
I am trialling these hearing aids at the moment and this is a huge issue for me too. One of other of the ears is almost always disconnected. When both are working there is a delay between them that ends up sounding like an echo, and sometimes both will stop working mid-stream. They are not “disconnected” from bluetooth, but sound isn’t streaming to them. Alongside the terrible sound quality and low volume of the streamed audio this makes the feature unusable. It would be tolerable except that if the app is installed and in use you have no choice - you have to use the streaming direct to the hearing aids (I’ve seen no way to turn it off) - I’ve missed calls and lost chunks of podcasts - all a very poor experience. Phone is Samsung Galaxy S10.
Do they both pair with another phone? If not, then you may have a defective hearing aid.
Bluetooth has some issues.
One the frequency is used by a multitude of other devices, including WiFi.
Two, your head can block the signal.
It works best where the signal can bounce off walls or the inside of a car to get to both ears. It has more issues when it has to compete with other devices using the same frequency.
A phone with a better antenna might help; a different hearing aid possibly; even a belt pouch that keeps the phone in front of you.
If you can borrow a higher end phone for a couple of hours to see if the eliminates the problem, that’s what I would try.
The pairing is not an issue - they are paired and the phone claims they are connected. The streaming audio simply drops from one or other or both ears.
Have you tried a different phone?
Plan to do that with my wife’s iPhone later - thanks.
I have a pixel 8 and find the right hearing aid will get out of sync with the left one and cause an echo. This is sporadic.
I was given a work around by Philips - put phone in Airplane mode for 30 seconds minimum. It fixed my issues!
