Interesting article. I don’t know if the prices quoted are for on HA or a pair. Also, failing to mention Costco as a deterrent to OTC aids is a major factual error, IMO.
It’s always a pair, why is Costco a “deterrent” they do sell OTC models as well.
I believe Costco only sells the Lexie B2 OTC hearing aid online for $980.
For five to six hundred dollars more, you get a 180 day trial period, a lost hearing aid replacement warranty, a longer warranty, Bluetooth Audio, wax guard and dome replacements, a premium hearing aid and in-person help for questions and issues.
I think the extra warranty coverage and Bluetooth utility would make a difference for a lot of folks.

Yep again that’s right, anybody who wants the best deal for premium models is obviously gonna go premium over any OTC, actually I think most OTC are over priced for what you get at the moment! (bar the Airpods, as they seem to be pretty reasonable)
