How can I remove the ear hook from the Sumo DM for replacement in case the part where the tubing goes breaks off? I’m having trouble disconnecting the earmold tubing from the ear hook and if I use too much force it might break off.
Use a hair blower on high heat. Point it at the connection between the tubing and the earhook for just 2-3 seconds. The heat will warm up the tubing and make it easy to pull off. Be careful not to burn your fingers!
This doesn’t answer the original question, how do I remove the ear hook for replacement?
I believe those use the snap on hooks. It’s basically a ball and socket joint. Gently rock the earhook up and it should snap out.
