Had my streamer updated so can now use the app for android but have been seeing reference to t-coil and can someone explain other uses? I have been playing with using it when listening to TV and seems to work better than my program that audi set for TV…can you activate the T-coil from the streamer? Thanks for the information for a newby
There is the button on the lower left of the streamer that can engage the t-coil. But I find it much easier to use my IPhone app to engage the t-coil. I use the t-coil only when I go the movies.
The Streamer Pro has a built-in T-coil that’s designed for use with induction loop systems at auditoriums, churches, etc. You activate it by holding down the lower button on the side for 2 seconds. If you’re using the streamer with your TV, you probably have the ConnectLine TV Adapter. This transmits to the streamer via Bluetooth; it doesn’t use the T-coil at all.
not using streamer with connectline for TV but have my computer boys looks at a bluetooth transmitter which is way cheaper than oticon

Did you find a bluetooth transmitter that works with your streamer? I’m thinking about trying the same thing. If you found one, can you tell me the model?
A standard Bluetooth transmitter won’t be satisfactory for TV usage due to latency; the audio will be significantly out-of-sync with the video. Oticon’s ConnectLine TV Adapter uses a proprietary implementation to reduce the latency to 40 ms, versus 150-200 ms for a standard transmitter.
You can also use a patch cord going from the audio out on the TV to the Streamer to stream the audio to your HA’s without any delay.
Seb and Rasmus,
Thanks for sharing your expertise - you’ve saved me time, money, and frustration. It’s folks like you who make this forum such a valuable, helpful place!
I do you the streamer pro with the first version of the TV connect and I do not notice any delays in the audio. The only issue I have is that sometimes it just refuses to connect and I have to remove all my pairing and repair all of my Bluetooth connections. But this has not happened but twice.
I wish I saw this earlier. I have tried 3 bluetooth tranmitters for my tv. None worked well. I have returned them all and just ordered the Connectline TV adaper from Oticon.
Hello to everyone,
I use the Streamer Pro via Bluetooth for my mobile phone. It is possible to adjust the streamer and the hearing aids to hear only the sounds from the Streamer and not enviroment sounds (to deactivate completely the microphone) ?
And if it is possible to deactivate the microphone whenever you want.
Thanks,
AK
