Oticon Real with Auracast coming?

Where did you get this?

I think this is possible but unlikely. I think Auracast will proliferate. But I also think it will take some years, so I wouldn’t make it a major selection factor today. It may be nice to have, but I wouldn’t buy new aids just to get it.

A new platform, though, could be very beneficial. It’s worth waiting a while, IMO, to see what will be on offer so soon.

That better integration seems to lead to more trouble-free and better performance in the phone-aids connection. ASHA just isn’t as reliable as MFi in my experience.

I don’t mean to argue here - I’m sharing my experience. Android has many advantages over Apple; Apple has only one advantage over Android, IMO. Neither is perfect - we’re left with choosing between annoyances. Some will prefer to accept Apple’s weaknesses; others will prefer to accept Android’s.

I left Apple for Android last summer and so glad I did. Sure I gave up the control panel and Apple watch controls, but what good are they if the connectivity keeps dropping. I haven’t had streaming drops with the Samsung S23 and my Real1 or my More1 aids. Yes the app drops connectivity at times but not the phone itself.

but ASHA protovol is still being used, right?

Yes, because that is what my aids requires. The phone does have ble5.3.

the most stupid solution ever, such a stupid protocol that is not able to differentiate between audio/stream and notifications :frowning:

What you can stupid most call wonderful.

how can you call it wonderful if you get inside your ears all the notifications?
it forces me to shutdown all my notifications…

Because I can set my phone to not receive the notification to my aids, it isn’t all or none either I can choose my options as I please.
I can even set times I want my notifications to my aids and when I don’t. It is very flexible

This is wonderful indeed.
I have this option in my Samsung Note 9 too but my Signia doesnt care about this settings. It delivers EVERYTHING to my ears.
Ok, now I understand you. It’s nice

Well the Note 9 doesn’t have the hardware that the S23 has, which means it doesn’t have the fine settings either. And the new S24 even gives more and better options.
I love my aids that I have now and their adjustments. I get my aids from the Veterans Administration, as I am a veteran with disabilities. At this time I have the Real1 rechargeable aids as my primary set of aids, and the More1 rechargeable aids as my backup aids. The most biggest difference between the two sets of aids is speech in noise, next is no wind notice with the Real1 aids. At this time I see bl audio as something for the future, when it is in wide use.

I have the minimum and I was expecting for it to work…
maybe it’s Signia’s fault

Are you in an app or the phone settings?
I don’t even open an app most of the time.

phone settings, i dont use the app

I can go through the notifications and either say all apps or choose individual apps that I want notifications from to my aids. The phone also can think of my aids as hearing aids or headphones, and it does make a difference in functionality with some of the apps. Also, I am using Android 14 with one UI6 at this time. My phone is scheduled for the update to one UI6.1 this month.
And if forgot to mention I can route the notifications to my galaxy watch instead of the aids or the phone.

I get these on my old note 10, I have the notifications turned off(silent) as I find them annoying.
