Oticon Real 1 - Cros PX

I use bicros for my left deaf ear with a hearing aid Real 1. My problem will be related to Cros PX. Noise cancellation and comfort settings work in normal hearing aids, but noise cancellation and comfort settings cannot be adjusted in Bicros for the left ear. Also, the Cros device is not visible in the Oticon application. Phonak does not have these problems that I mentioned. The cross device can be seen in the software and application. It is possible to see the battery level from the application. At the same time, sound levels can also be adjusted. Unfortunately, there is no such setting in Oticon Cros px. When I remove the cross hearing aid, the noise disappears, but when I put it back on, unfortunately the noise continues. Features must be implemented in cros. What should be done so that they can update for this? Who do we need to contact?

I’m a bit negative about this and think that problems like this will never be solved. As all HA manufacturers will have their own philosophy about which way to go and what to put their efforts in. And then your case is even more specific and probably not very often.

But that makes your experience great for a forum like this I think. Spread the world and hope the specialists who are prescribing and selling these different aids will know what is on the market and what for and what exists and what not.

Next step the HA community seems to be waiting for is Auracast transmission, which will be available in the next future ans solve a lot of problems for us also.

Thank you for your reply. Normally, manufacturers must make their devices compatible according to the customer’s problems. For example, unfortunately, very simple settings are not available from Oticon and other similar hearing aid providers. For example, I cannot understand why simple but very simple settings such as noise suppression settings, wind prevention settings, equalizer settings can be made more detailed, and environment direction speech settings are not offered and why they have to be changed with the program. It hasn’t existed for many years. The same old system continues.

I hope there will be innovations in the new generation cros or at least my problem will be solved with the update. Why can’t experts notice the simple problems I notice? They spend so much time and effort, but most of the time practicality is not given importance. While my right hearing aid suppresses noise, this feature is meaningless since my left hearing aid cannot suppress most noise. The operators should at least try to monitor the devices themselves and solve the problems accordingly. We pay a lot of money, but according to the value for money, the quality of the service must be good.

Note: When I talk about problems, I am talking about the applications of the hearing aids on the phone. When I say program, I am talking about the hearing aid software application for the computer, do not get me wrong.

AFAIK most of the phone software has these setting possibilities.
I have Phonak, Amplifon, Resound, Audio-service, Rexton, and Widex. Not the Oticon.
They all are different unfortunately. But most of them have many features you mention.
Only thing I see is that the cheaper aids models have lesser possibilities. But that’s why they try to sell you the most expensive ones. Same way as if you are buying a car with or without options. And then there are still uninvented features coming up, we’ll have to wait for.
