I post here for a problem of pairing between my HAs and the mobile app.
I have Oticon HA Real 2 miniRITE R - micro code 1.1.1
My Oticon companion app (v1.4.0) runs on a Pixel 7a, Android 14.
The pairing process is very very painful when directly pairing from HAs to the smartphone.
Finally I discovered that this pairing process has a higher success rate when starting the pairing process with the HAs plugged on the recharging station.
Note that I didn’t see any improvement with the Android upgrade from 13 to 14.
No it is that difficult you can power off your aids by way of the bottons on the aids. Then prep the app to pair tne power on the aids. I have the Samsung S23 and Real aids and I don’t have to use the charger to pair my aids to my phone and honestly I don’t even neen the app either. I can do everything from the buttons on the aids. The instructions tell you to use the charger for your convenience as it does take practice to get use to the button controls
Your P7a should be upgraded to android 15 with the January update for a more stable bluetooth connection.
In your phone settings tap on system than software updates.
Like @cvkemp pointed out, you don’t need to use the charger to pair to the app.
Just use the Real multifunction buttons to turn the aids off, and turn the aids on when prompted by companion, by pressing the up buttons.
