Ok so I just kept trying, after about 10 times I got the pop up notifying me of 2024.2
Hopefully that means that my VA audiologist will hqve the updates, by the time of my September 20th appointment.
Yes Iād think so, most likely sooner.
Isnāt the VA software locked down until the new contract in November?
I donāt think weāll get Genie 2024.2 until then from the VA.
So, Iām downloading Genie 2024.2 right now.
It must be a monster! Been downloading almost 10 minutes!
My VA audiologist called the Oticon rep, and was told it should be available in first half of September. The update isnāt adding new features just fixing what was promised at the last contract.
Is your audi a VA employee, or a community care contractor?
I got the 2024.2 update installed, but wonāt connect my Intents until after my appointment on Tuesday.
My VA audiologist is the VA state directory of audiology. Except for the VA hospitals here all of the clinics here are considering to be Community clinics, but they are all run by VA staff. The clinics here are a partner between the communities, all small cities, and the VA. To be honest here in Arkansas the veterans here are taken care of better then anywhere else than I have every been. And I have had some great clinics in Texas. Here in the Hot Springs area there is a really high concentration of veterans. I live in Hot Springs Village and the population of approximately 18000 is well over half veterans. The American Legion post here has about a 1000 active members and a membership of 10 times that much.
Youāve got me. I wanna leave Californicate, and join you Arkansans!
But reality bites, and Iām stuck here, at my old age, itās too late to be doing a relo.
My daughter says when I can no longer live alone sheās gonna drag me kickinā and screaminā to Las Vegas!
I am almost 77, and I moved here when I was 70. It has proven to be the best move of my life. Low taxes, and lower cost of living.
OK, think to many ppl want to dl it atm so it takes long until it will show up.
//edit//
now I have it too
My email notes for my September appointment has a question about the Easy le adapter. I am hopeful that the VA will make it available to us. I am sure it will not be available until the November contract though.
What is it? Iāve never seen this device.
It is a new usbc le audio adapter from Oticon that will give le audio and possibly audiocast capability to none le audio devices like phones, tablets, and computers, so that the INTENT1 aids will connect to them.
Ah So, now I remember seeing that pic.
That would really help me, 'cause my pixel 6a wonāt be getting le audio.
Iāll ask my audi Tuesday if she knows anything, but Long Beach is really a Phonak shop, so they knopw less than we do about Oticon!
Then they should do what my audiologist does and that is ask a rep.
Bingo, Chuck! Thatās exactly what Iām gonna do,
More than likely it will not be available to the VA until after the first of November
I think this device may be dangerous for smartphone USB-C connector. One wrong move and the connector is broken.
Life is dangerous if we really try to enjoy it.
