I recently got an Oticon Connect Clip to use my OPN on the Android Samsung Note 8. I also have a set of Apple Airpods which can also be used with the Note 8.
I found out that with the Note 8, I can set up for Dual Audio output, where I can set up Bluetooth devices to be connected to the Note 8 in parallel. This would be ideal if I want to play audio on both my OPN (via the ConnectClip) and the Airpods at the same time.
In theory, if I can play both simultaneously, then I get the best of both world, high frequency amplification from my OPN and low frequency bass from my Airpods. But unfortunately, in practice, there’s a slight but noticeable delay between the sound from the Airpods and the sound from the OPN. Otherwise, it would have been a really cool wireless option for great audio streaming.
I’ve looked into ways to sync up the two sounds to avoid the latency, but it doesn’t seem like there’s a solution.
I’ve also looked to see if I can get Dual Audio capability on my iphone 7 Plus, but it looks like I can’t. I think the iPhone X has Bluetooth 5. But it doesn’t look like Apple has decided to provide Dual Audio on the iPhone X.
I wonder if there’s any techie on this forum who may know of a solution to this issue? Either way, sync up the audio on the Note 8, or know whether Dual Audio support is on the iPhone X. Thanks.
