Oticon beta app

The beta app updated today on my Samsung S23, it seems faster and and I have had better connectivity so far.

Just downloaded Companion beta 3.0.6

It is definitely more stable. My prior complaints about:

  • Hearing aids disconnecting from app with many retries to reconnect
  • Not fit for use with TV (P2) streamer due to even more excessive disconnects & loss of state when UI volume controls were touched or programs toggled.

Appear to be either solved or failure rate brought to an unnoticeable level.

Well I was a bit hasty. Companion beta 3.0.6, though more stable than 3.0.5, still drops one of the hearing aids when switching to P2/TV streamer program. Resetting aid will help reconnect to Companion but shortly it will drop it again when in P2 mode (if aid not reset, companion keeps trying to reconnect unsuccessfully).

Regular P1 connectivity appears to be stable.

When aid is dropped in P2, TV streaming continues to work. Just Companion losing its sync.

Here is my take i don’t care if the app drops connectivity as long as the aids stay connected to the phone. My aids stay connected to my android phone even if the stupid app doesn’t and that is all that is important!

You summarized it very well, “stupid app”.

would this be part of the betta, new instruments with accelerometers?
