Is anyone aware of open-source software, similar to OSCAR for CPAP users, that one can use at home to program settings for hearing aids?
Welcome to the forum, yes sure it is, most manufacturers software is available.
Which models are you interested in, you’ll also need the correct programming device as well for DIY projects.
er… what does that mean? I am demo’ing a pair of Relate 3.1 Silver RIC R, and I think I need the Aura:fit Relate software… am I needing something else as well?
Yeah so they look like rebranded Unitron models, so a Noahlink Wireless programming device is required for your DIY projects to connect your HAs to the software.
Sounds like you are new at this … this is the device tenkan is referring to, unfortunately you have to be using Windows.
This I very different than using Oscar, it only reads data from your CPAP and can"t make any changes to the CPAP device
With the proper software and the noahlink you will be making changes to the Hearing Aids internal settings . I am not trying to discourage you … I think DIY is the best way to go .
Thank you for the information! Yes, first time with hearing aids. I have “mild to moderate” loss, but the big issue is tinnitus in my ears…
