I would like to follow up on a thread that appears to be archived. It was on buyhear.com. and the Opn hearing aid. I saw a post from a man who had purchase the Opn from them and promised to post after a “tweaking” . I am new here and to hear aids period . Been putting this off way to long. I cannot find reviews on this company anywhere. Not on here or on my search engine except for those from the company site. There is a huge price difference and I want to do as much research as possible prior to purchase. I live in a small(ish) community and only have one vendor that even knows about the product. They are not inclined to discount the price, which is actually 2x what I was quoted on the .com site. Please respond if you have info. I would really like to take action soon now that I have finally made the decision that I need/want help with this issue.
People seem happy with Buyhear. They seem a very reputable organization with good prices and the ability to adjust by sending a device loaner to connect with you and the aids. Their 60day return policy gives you added protection over the normal 30 days from all but Costco and a few others.
I bought my Oticon OPNs from buyhear. It’s been almost 2 months now. They are a legit company and the experience has been positive.
Has there been anymore reviews & experiences from this place? I’m about to purchase and curious about their services coming from real users at this forum.
Thank you very much for your response. I am about to pull the trigger after years of tolerating a 60% hearing loss in one ear. I just needed reassurance about buying online. My first visit to the audiologist I was told there was a 10% for a 30 day trial if you returned them. And the price was 3000 for one hearing aid…close to twice what the .com is charging.
Really, Costco should be paying me a commission. But I’m very happy with the KS7 hearing aids, the service, and the price. Also, no charge for trials, which in the U.S. I believe are 6 months long(!)
I’ve had nothing but excellent experience with buyhear.com; quality folks and (of course) great prices.
Did you have to do any adjustment with your aids? If so, what was the process like?
sis60 - I’m glad my post could be of help. I’ve bought hearing aids from both Costco and Buyhear and both have been great.
Jbender- with Buyhear, they give you a tablet that they use to adjust your hearing aids. In my case I had the kit for a little over 60 days and had 4-5 adjustments to fine tune the aids. You schedule an appointment with the fitter who calls you. Then your hearing aids connect to the tablet via Bluetooth and he makes the adjustments. After you feel comfortable with the settings you ship the tablet back to them in the box and prepaid label they provide you.
