A year old post suggested that OnePlus could be equalized for one’s hearing loss and provide more volume than AirPods. With Severe to Profound HL, FDA rules basically preclude OTC HA from amplifying to the level that I need. My AirPods are mediocre - love the noise cancellation and bass. But they are useless as hearing aids when I want to hear what’s going on around me.
Anyone out there using OnePlus?
Oh yes. Tried a zillion brands of earbuds that are reportedly loud, but none of them suit me (those reviews are typically produced by people who hear 20/20). I finally tried One Plus Pros 2, delivered by Amazon Spain to Switzerland. After doing its hearing test using their Android app (HeyMelody) I finally, finally got what I needed- earbuds that I can use for music and podcasts well below their maximum volume (tremendous basses). I also like their fit much more than other models. I suppose version 3 is similar.
I had previously boosted the volume of my mp3 music files as well (using Windows/MP3gain, set at 96 db) and also tinkered with my Zenfone 8 audio settings.
